Sometimes don’t you just want your kitchen to be new, with classic style? Well, that’s how Joe & Patti from Wheaton felt about their 20+ year old kitchen. They were well overdue for their small kitchen to be updated!
The existing 80’s kitchen told the story of what was current in their Wheaton neighborhood at that time- soffits above upper cabinets, dark walnut colored cabinets, dark floors & ceiling fans with lights! This kitchen had great “bones”. Incorporating current kitchen remodeling ideas to their project was all that was needed for this transformation.
Classic white cabinets with dark granite, natural oak floors and can lights with hanging pendants created a perfect environment for Joe & Cathy’s kitchen remodel. Eliminating the soffits made way for more storage, with additional pantry space on the refrigerator wall. Removing the knee wall at the family room, opened the spaces for ease of entertaining and traffic flow. Open shelves at the kitchen window and end of the peninsula added places for books & accessories. (See more projects photos)
Enjoying a new kitchen in their Wheaton home, Joe & Patti are here to stay!
